im back from the camp. exhausted;rejected.

guys, im back.

i endured, i perserve, i hung on.

i went to the camp thinking that it will be a smooth journey or at most..abit relax than npcc training camp.

but i realzied that i was so damn wrong cause the camp is nothing compared to the training camp i had. guys, hold on. let me elaborate.

DAY1

my bags were heavy and i headed to the canteen to gather.

after that we moved to the fusion house. and the first event was attire check.

so congrats me:) i did not brought my belt with me. so shyt. i got scolded. it wss only the start and my mood was already down.

then later on, we learned the council cheer, council pledge, council song.

everything seems so relaxed. some stoned, some sang, some really had fun.

i was only SO-SO.

then it came to the selection of the morning duties such as the parade commander, the pledge cum announcer, flag raiser and the walkie talkie.

i was from npcc so they chose me to go for the 'AUDITION' for parade commander. but i failed. then they told me to go for the announcer and pledge thing.

wellwell, so i was glad cus i want to be the announcer.

then we auditioned and after a while.

i was shocked t realize that im out of the announcer thing.

i blamed myself that i did nt performed well and then the teacher said that they r nt looking for those who can speak but for those who have confident. so wadever it is.. i move on to the flag raiser.

and then i was selected there. orelse i am not sure when i will be shifted again.

see, it was not my day on day one. it was rather hell for me. and tmy mood was like so so down the drain.

then a while, the night arrives.

we got a mini lecture by the 8th student council.

they told us how to be great leaders n so on. overall, it was okay except im a bit of tired.

we also pitched our tents but i did not sleep in the tent becausse it was so hot at night and the tent seems like a SAUNA. so me n cedric slept on the tracks. but then still quite hot, but tireness took over and i slept.

yes, before we went to bed. we did night pt. where the teacher advisors actually tortured us.

we ran n ran n ran around the tracks untill we drop dead.

then it was a day, a day for day1. :)

DAY2

we woke up at ard seven.

then we unpitched our tents so that we can carry it on the way for hiking

altho later on i realized it is of no use that we carried the tents

oh yes, we went hiking on day 2.

we walked nearly 11km from macritchie to bukit timah hil.

honestly, i almost died. the legs were numb after a while,

my shoulders were aching.

stomach growling.

we walked thru forest, pavements, upslope, downslope and just everything u can think of.

then halfway, our TAs chose casulties and we r suppose to carry them uphil.

my god, my hands are already weak.

and wadsmore, tell me to carry?

our bags is like those army bags,

very very high up.

we transferred all our stuffs on monday night to the army bag.

so it was really gargantuan and heavy.

soon, not soon actually, we reached the destination.

and yes, on our way, it was raining so we must still walk.

that explains why i have a high fever later on. but yea, i recovered within awhile after having the 'panadol extra'.

cause we r brining the tents along and all our stuffs, so i thought that we r going to camp outside school or smth,

but i was wrong.

we sat on a coach and went back to school.

so how dumb can it get? carrying our tents and all those. and it is of NOUSE.

so whatever, it is apparent that the TAs like want to takan us.

then when back to school, i immediately went to bath,

and some discovered that they got abrasion.

HAHA. then the way they walked was so funny.

but hey! it was really pain larrhs. =)

and basically, not much for tuesday night.

we are just given three hours to discuss for our

walkin, slogan, and doorgift.

and the night came.

thats about it for day two.

DAY3

on day three, we went to the changi adventure camp.

because our amp is two days in sch, three days at changi.

but before we leave, we had our breakfast and attend talks by 18th student council and mr alan tan.

then we headed to changi.

=)

changi adventure campsite looks nice.

for a moment i realized that we came to heaven.

it was windy, airy and the food there are nice(later on i realized)

we slept in dorm which we were assigned once we reached there.

then the first event was to think of our group name and group cheer.

as usual, all those shoutings and yellings la.

and on day 3, the events for the whole day was HIGH ELEMENTS

high elements leh. i hear also sian liao.

cause im AFRAID of heights and will never want to try.

but hey, i thought of giving it a go. =) and i did.

the first event i played is rockclimbing.

i thought i never did make it, but i did!

within quite fast, and it was so an ACHIEVEMENT

the second item i played was flying fox.

WTF la, i was like pls no more.

so i stood there, high up watiting for my turn.

altho i hoped it never came.

sso i flew all the way down. and my heart was like up there.

and i was like down there.

okay. a while later i recovered.

and so I MADE IT =)**another achievement!

then came the ABSEILING.

where by we lean back from ard four storeys then we abseil down.

my god. that needs a lot of TRUST.

and i was like oh my god. i am going down man`

so luckily, i managed to get on to the ground safetly.

next, we proceed to the CRC(challenging rope course)

the first one is that we have to partner up.

and walk on two ropes, supporting each other.

the rpes will eventually gets further n further away.

and we have nothing to hold on but just each other.

and the longest distance between the 2 ropes are 1.5m.

so now, you can imagine =]

however, due to pretty time constraint, my partner and i skipped that station.

so the last part that we tried was indeed quite a scary one.

i was the second to go.

we climbed up this circular pillar, all the way up.

and we r suppose to jump and hang on ro a bar.

just like pull up like that. but the bar will shake and its rather slippery.

so i jumped, touched the bar and fell from great heights.

my god. thats the activity for day 3 at changi.

and yes, we played night activities.

during one of the night activities, i was called out of the camp site to an area.

i was suppose to act as casulty and my group will come and find me.

they will carry me on a strecher. the distance between where i am now and camp site is quite far.

and yes, while i was waiting for them i sat on a puddle of..

then i was like clapping here and scratching here n there.

then my grp arrives.

the carried me, and on the way, i can hear..

"walau, why choose such a heavy casulty"

"wahseh, his butt very heavy sia"

these phrases are not really insulting. cus i know if it was me carrying a person,

for long distances, i will also complain de.

but the expression on their faces touched me.

they endured, i can see very clearly.

i really was engulfed by the unity spiirit.

which i think was very good.

so when reached campsite. they wan to taupok me.

LOL! but luckily, they didnt.

then it was debrief and later we went to bed.

DAY4

is it a bit of boring to see me typing so much?

if yes, u can ignore already. ((:

so, day 4 was sea activites.

and a bit of land activities. but this tyme it is low land activities.

suddenly, i was transferred to another group.

then i was expected to bond and mix with them.

but ya, it was all 19th SC pple wad, so still can lame abit.

we kayaked,for quite long actually.

untill i felt a bit of giddyness in me.

but i emdured untill towards the end i went to join the REAL casualties for kayak.

all of em looked exhausted, of course im one of them.

then we are supposed to build our own rafts.

and to see each group whether our rafts will float anot.

and my team managed to float. yea!

the materials use in the kayak must be obtained frm the low land activities we played.

luckily, for my team, we got it all! (i think other team also ) =)

then after all those activities, we went to bath and prepare for the campfire.

the campfire was fun, everyone sang and danced.

especially the council pple, all r superly enthu.

HAHA. and yes there is one thing that i forget to say.

if u lkove planes, go to changi campsite.

for every 5 mins, there will be a plane flying up across u.

and you can stare and enjoy.

for us, it was more of a noise. cus aeroplane fly past make lots of noise.

the performance of the camp fire was interesting too.

so overall, it was great!

then afterthat, the council pple still did not sleep.

we gather at a area and dance hokey pokey.

we also played concentration.

untill an instructer came and told us that we were noisy and so,

all of us went to bed.

thats about it for day 4.

DAY5

not alot of things happened on this day.

cus it was the packing up day.

we ate breakfast and break u[p to respective grps to do area cleaning.

for my grp, we went to the beach to pick up litter.

the beach already look like a rubbish dump lor.

so we r like picking rubbish from rubbish dump.

makes no sense ryte.

HAHA

then before we go, we are told that who gets selected for the exco.

unfortunately, i was not selected.

i dun blame the TAs cus i had not been very enthu for the whole camp.

but just suddenly, i felt a sense of rejection.

seriously, a sense of great rejection.

on day1, i got rejected for all those announcer things,

and on day5 i got rejected again.

eevrything in the middle was like rojak.

but wadever it is.

5 stars for the camp.

i somehow enjoyed it.. =)
